A new powerhouse name has emerged in the world of artistic gymnastics: Karl Eldrew Yulo. As the younger brother of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, Eldrew faces the immense pressure of a historic family name.

Yet, his recent performances on the global stage prove he is far more than just a famous sibling — he is a legitimate elite contender in his own right.

Before transitioning to the senior ranks, Yulo completely dominated the junior circuits. His impressive resume features a gold medal performance at the 2024 Asian Junior Championships and a historic milestone at the 2025 FIG Junior World Championships held in Manila.

Competing through an ankle injury, Yulo electrified the home crowd to secure two bronze medals in the floor exercise and horizontal bar, becoming the first-ever Filipino gymnast to step onto a Junior Worlds podium.

Now competing at the senior level, the 18-year-old dynamo is already making major waves on the international circuit. Making his senior debut at the 2026 FIG World Cup series, Yulo captured a spectacular gold medal in the floor exercise during the Antalya leg in Turkey, posting a stellar score of 14.100.

He followed up that golden performance just weeks later at the Cairo World Cup in Egypt, clinching a double bronze in both the floor exercise and the horizontal bar.

With precise tumbling, high-difficulty routines, and a rapidly growing medal tally, Karl Eldrew Yulo is proving that he isn’t just following in his brother’s footsteps — he is actively blazing his own brilliant trail toward the sport’s absolute summit.
